What the client needed.
The KC Chamber needed professional staff portraits for their “About Us” page that did more than identify employees. They needed to convey the Chamber’s brand personality — professional and authentic — consistently across the entire team. Off-the-shelf studio headshots would have read identical to every other organization’s “meet the team” page. The Chamber wanted to look like itself.
How the work got made.
Shot every employee on-site in the Chamber’s actual work environment instead of pulling them into a studio. Worked with each subject to capture natural professional bearing while keeping the styling, lighting, and post consistent across the entire set, so the portraits read as a unified About Us grid AND held up individually in member-facing collateral. The 20-year relationship with the Chamber meant the brand voice was already internalized — no discovery phase needed.
What shipped, what changed.
Live at kcchamber.com/who-we-are/staff-directory. Each portrait shows the employee in their actual workspace; consistency comes from direction and treatment, not from forcing everyone into a template. The approach has carried through multiple Chamber roster refreshes — new hires get added to the set without reshooting the whole team.
