Ridpath Creative
Kansas City · Corporate & Event Photography

Events, captured.

I’m Roger Ridpath, a Kansas City event photographer with 35 years behind the camera. I cover corporate events, conferences and conventions, nonprofit galas and fundraisers, and keynotes across the Kansas City metro — from downtown to Overland Park — single-day or multi-day. The result is imagery you can hand to a board, a sponsor, or a press release the same week.

Most event work is client-owned — board decks, internal galleries, programs that involve minors — and can’t be posted publicly. What appears here is shared with permission. Ask, and I’ll walk you through what’s cleared for your industry.

Questions, answered

What event planners ask me.

How much does a corporate event photographer in Kansas City cost?

In Kansas City, half-day event coverage runs $1,500–$2,500 and full-day coverage $3,000–$5,000, including a delivered, edited gallery. Multi-day conferences and travel are quoted per program.

Do you cover multi-day conferences?

Yes. I shoot single-day, full-day, and multi-day programs, and bring additional photographers when sessions run in parallel tracks so nothing gets missed.

How many photographers do I need for a large conference?

For a single-track day, one photographer is usually enough. For 300+ attendees or concurrent sessions, a second shooter ensures the keynote, breakouts, and candids are all covered. I’ll recommend a setup once I see your run-of-show.

How fast will I get the photos?

The full edited gallery arrives the same week. Need images for press or social before the event ends? Next-day — or same-day — highlight selects are available on request.

How far in advance should I book?

Earlier is better for peak windows, but I regularly accommodate short notice. If your date is close, call — I’ll tell you straight whether I can cover it.

Do you photograph evening galas and low-light venues?

Yes. Galas, award dinners, and dim ballrooms are routine — I’m equipped and experienced for low light, so the room looks the way it felt.

Why Ridpath

35 years of judgment, pointed at your event.

Three decades of professional work means I read a room fast, anticipate the moment, and come back with images a board, a sponsor, and a press office can all use. ArtsKC Featured Artist. Published author. The steady hand a high-stakes event needs.

It’s real coverage of real moments — made, not generated. You get a photographer who has done this a thousand times and still cares about the frame, with the gear and backup a multi-day program demands.
