Clay County Senior Services funds the programs that help people 60 and older in Clay County, Missouri keep living on their own: meals, rides, home repairs, care at home. For 2025, the agency’s 20th year, I designed the annual report: twelve pages that put a year of that work in front of the taxpayers who fund it and the seniors it serves.
Clay County Senior Services 2025 Annual Report
How long has Ridpath Creative worked with Clay County Senior Services?
Since January 2005, when I started on the new agency’s logo. Clay County Senior Services had been established the year before.
The final art went out that May, and it’s the same mark on the cover of this report. That fall I set business cards for two of the staff, Tina and Paula. Twenty years later Tina is the executive director.
Every annual report since the 2009 edition has come through my studio, seventeen of them, along with the agency’s brochures, a county map and, in 2025, its 20th-anniversary logo.
What’s in the 2025 report?
Twelve pages: a letter from the board chair and executive director, six pages of highlights, the financials, the board and staff, the agency’s community partners, and a back cover about the mission.

How does the report mark the agency’s 20th year?
On the cover, 2025 is set over a big 20 whose zero is a gold ring, and the ring comes back around the page numbers inside.
The letter on page two tells how the board and staff spent the anniversary: visits to the senior centers in Liberty, Excelsior Springs, Kearney and Smithville, 200 gift bags for Meals on Wheels clients, and an open house for 100 community partners.
The back cover thanks Paula Zigmond for 20 years as Program & Resources Manager. Same Paula, by the way, whose business card I set in 2005.

How do you make a year of numbers readable?
Set each number large, with a photograph above it and one plain sentence about what it counts.
Every highlights page carries a column of figures. 74,491 is pounds of food handed out through the Plate of Hope Pantry. 48,881 is meals delivered to 420 homebound residents. Hyphenation is off, so no word breaks across a line.
The financials get the same plain treatment: revenue, expenses and net income in three boxes, then one bar that splits the spending by category.

As they run in the report, photograph and all.
Where can you read the 2025 report?
On the agency’s website, as the same twelve pages that went to press.
The report was printed in June 2026, and the PDF is posted on claycoseniors.org.
